80g of milk

50 g of cooking oil

80g of cake flour

5 egg yolks

80g of sugar

1tsp vanilla essence

5 egg whites


Preheat the oven at 300°F (150°C). Heat milk and cooking oil in a pan. Take it off the heat and add the flour. Whisk until combined well. Add the egg yolks to the mixture until combined and set aside. Add the egg whites to a bowl and beat with a hand mixer with sugar until soft peaks are formed. Combine the two mixtures by cut and fold method. Pour the batter in a cake pan. Put it in a bigger pan and pour hot water in it. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour.

Chocolate Chip Cookies


2&1/4 cup all purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup butter, softened

3/4 cup granulated sugar

3/4 cup brown sugar

1 egg

1 teaspoon vanilla essence

2 cups semisweet/dark chocolate chips

1 cup coarsely chopped nuts (optional)


Heat the oven to 375°F. Mix flour, baking soda and salt, set aside. In a large bowl, beat softened butter and both the sugars with an electric mixer on medium speed or mix with a spoon for about 1 minute or until fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla until just mixed. The dough should be stiff by now. Stir in the chocolate chips and nuts. Lay out a baking tray with butter paper/ parchment paper and put rounded balls of cookie dough of 1-2 tablespoons based on the size of your tray, 2 inches apart. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until light brown. The cookie will be soft to touch. Cool for 2-5 minutes to touch and remove them from the tray so that they can properly cool.

Pizza Dough

Makes about 3 pizzas


3/4 cup warm water (105°F to 115°F)

1 envelope active dry yeast

2 cups (or more) all purpose flour

1 teaspoon sugar

3/4 teaspoon salt

3 tablespoons olive oil

Recipe Preparation

Pour 3/4 cup warm water into small bowl; stir in yeast. Let stand until yeast dissolves, about 5 minutes. Brush large bowl lightly with olive oil. Mix 2 cups flour, sugar, and salt in processor. Add yeast mixture and 3 tablespoons oil; process until dough forms a sticky ball. Transfer to lightly floured surface. knead the dough until smooth, adding more flour by tablespoonfuls if the dough is too sticky. Transfer the dough into the prepared bowl; turn the dough in bowl to coat it with oil. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let dough rise in warm draft-free area until it has doubled in volume, this should take about an hour; Punch the dough down. Roll out dough according to recipe instructions. (Start in centre of dough, working outward toward edges but not rolling over them.)

Pizza Sauce


6 medium tomatoes

Salt to taste

Pepper to taste

1 tsp Oregano

1 tbsp Olive oil/ butter

Herbs of your choice

1 tsp Minced Garlic


Boil the tomatoes in a deep pan, with enough water to submerge the tomatoes. Remove the skin and chop them into smaller pieces. In a sauce pan, heat the olive oil or butter on a medium flame and add the minced garlic. Cook it until it begins to brown. Add the tomatoes, and cook for about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, add the oregano and other herbs of your choice. Mash the tomatoes with a wooden spoon and cook until it forms a paste like consistency. Add 2-3 spoonfuls of water if it becomes too thick. Cover with a lid and cook for 5-7 minutes.
